About Us

Why did we open a Bed and Breakfast?

After many years in retail management—Kim as a Personnel Manager at Morrisons and Kevin as a Manager at Tesco and later B&Q—we dreamed of running our own business and being our own bosses.

Our first venture began in 2004 when we became landlords in Perth, Scotland, managing 19 properties. Unfortunately, the 2008 financial crisis brought that chapter to a close.

In 2014, we decided to try again, but this time with a more thoughtful and deliberate approach. We wanted a business that not only suited us but also fit the lifestyle we envisioned for our two sons. After careful consideration, we chose to open a Bed and Breakfast—a perfect opportunity to create a beautiful home we could decorate and furnish with care, and most importantly, share with wonderful guests from around the world. It allows us to spend our days meeting fascinating people, engaging in great conversations, and providing a truly memorable holiday experience.

Stirling was the natural choice for our B&B. Not only is it Kevin’s hometown, where many of his friends and family still live (ask Kevin for insider tips!), but it’s also where Kim attended university and met her husband of nearly 29 years. Stirling’s central location at the Gateway to the Highlands, with attractions like Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, combined with its welcoming pubs, cosy cafes, and lively restaurants, made it the perfect place for us to call home and share with our guests.
